OneConnect Brings Technologies Together

Unterschleißheim/Stuttgart, September 13, 2011 – pmOne AG introduces OneConnect, software that facilitates enterprise-wide deployment of Microsoft's Business Intelligence (BI) platform in a SAP environment.

Up to now, integration of SAP ERP systems with "non-SAP solutions" has presented a major challenge when building a BI solution. OneConnect connects the different technology environments enabling users to combine the relative strengths of the different technologies much more easily. The "Xtract IS component", one of the core components, is developed in partnership with Theobald software exclusively for oneConnect, and includes many additional features. This includes linking to SAP BW extractors to utilize data from a SAP ERP system, as well as a standardized, detailed process and error logging during data loading. The component also performs automatic type conversion, converting from SAP to Microsoft data types, which reduces memory footprint and promotes better data quality.

Large corporations who are interested in reducing license costs can use OneConnect to streamline the deployment of their BI solutions. "Build once, deploy anywhere" is a key principle behind OneConnect's ability to connect multiple SAP ERP client or ERP systems to a BI solution. Fast implementations are facilitated with pre-built extraction processes for SAP modules (FI, CO, SD, MM). All of this is supported by built-in management functionality that enables processes such as loading the data from a variety of modules and clients to be efficiently monitored and controlled in a central cockpit.
